Jagiellon dynasty
The years 1471 – 1526 were a period of Jagiellons (Jogailos) dynasty rule. This dynasty originated in Lithuania and ruled over vast Central European territories, including modern Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, part of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
The Jagiellons established control over the kingdom of Bohemia. During their reign, the political power in Bohemia had been concentrated in the hands of “Bohemian Estates”. The last Jagiellon ruler in Bohemia was Louis Jagiello who died in battle with the Turks in 1526.
