Kampa Island
Kampa Island known as the “Venice of Prague”, due to its unique canals and picturesque houses, rising above the water. This is one of my favorite areas in the city. The Island is located on the left side of Charles Bridge (Karlův most), between the two smaller bridges: Most Legii and Manesuv Most. To get there, walk downstairs at the end of Charles Bridge closer to Malá Strana.
On Kampa Island you can still locate the “Lennon Wall” – a wall with a fading John Lennon’s image on it. This wall was very popular among Czech youth and served as a symbol of anti – communist rebel during the last years of the communist regime.
Besides some resident houses, Kampa Island features beautiful serene park, where you can walk or feed the ducks.
