Lovely Prague View from Petřín (Petrin) Hill

If you appreciate an urban beauty – keep in mind that lovely Prague suggests its visitors the beautiful scenery. Having crossed the Charles Bridge (Karlův most) and getting Malá Strana (Lesser Quarter), you will be able to savor the most significant of them if only choosing visiting Petřín (Petrin) Hill. Notice that you have a variety of other choices, such as climbing the Prague Castle (Pražský Hrad) or seeing the Kampa Island. My advice is to combine between Kampa Island and either Prague Castle or Petřín Hill at the same day, and if you are an energetic traveler kind you will be probably able to see all of them at the same day.

To access Petřín Hill you have to take two stations by tram to Újezd. As for me, I prefer walking to tram because a walk in Prague is always enjoyable. At the Újezd station, take the funicular to the top of the Hill. While climbing the hill by funicular, you’ll have the unique opportunity to introduce yourself to the loveliest Prague urban landscapes. So don’t forget to bring your camera with you.

At the top of the hill you may consider some options. For instance, you can visit either Prague Observatory or the Petřínska vez (Petřín Tower) that is a small copy of the Eiffel Tower. Our choice was descending the Hill via Vyhlídková cesta(Road with a view), avoiding Hladová zed (Hunger Wall), so that our journey ended at the Strahov Monastery. The beauty of the lovely Prague scenery seen from this road is something you’ll never forget.
